About The Position

Cleans and services internal and external premises to maintain the hospital in a sanitary, attractive, and orderly condition, following an assigned schedule and/or shift. This role is crucial for maintaining a clean and aseptic environment within the hospital.

Requirements

  • High school diploma preferred or high school equivalency.
  • Must be comfortable operating in a collaborative, shared leadership environment.
  • Must possess a personal presence characterized by a sense of honesty, integrity, and caring with the ability to inspire and motivate others to promote the philosophy, mission, vision, goals, and values of Trinity Health.
  • Ability to maintain satisfactory job performance and a high standard of courtesy and cooperation in dealing with co-workers, patients, and visitors despite the stress of a hospital work environment.
  • Ability to perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature without loss of efficiency or composure.
  • Must be able to set and organize one's own work priorities and adapt to them as they change frequently.
  • Must be able to work concurrently on a variety of tasks/projects in an environment that may be stressful with individuals having diverse personalities and work styles.
  • Must possess the ability to comply with Trinity Health policies and procedures.
  • Must be able to travel to the various Trinity Health sites as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains clean and aseptic conditions in assigned areas by vacuuming, scouring, dust mopping, high dusting, making beds, removing trash/linen, and washing walls and ceilings.
  • Uses vacuum and materials effectively in daily work.
  • Uses detergents, germicides, or other supplies as recommended and follows recommended handling/mixing procedures.
  • Maintains a clean and neat station, cart, closet, and equipment.
  • Reports needed equipment repairs to the Supervisor.
  • Logs activities throughout the work shift as required paperwork at the end of the shift.
  • Collects soiled linen or distributes clean linen, as needed.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and local laws and regulations, Trinity Health’s Organizational Integrity Program, Standards of Conduct, and other policies and procedures to ensure adherence in an honest, ethical, and professional manner.
