About The Position

Cleans and services internal and external premises to maintain the hospital in a sanitary, attractive, and orderly condition, according to an assigned schedule and/or shift. This role is crucial for maintaining a clean and aseptic environment within the hospital.

Requirements

  • High school diploma preferred or high school equivalency.
  • Must be comfortable operating in a collaborative, shared leadership environment.
  • Must possess a personal presence characterized by a sense of honesty, integrity, and caring with the ability to inspire and motivate others to promote the philosophy, mission, vision, goals, and values of Trinity Health.
  • Ability to maintain satisfactory job performance and a high standard of both courtesy and cooperation in dealing with co-workers, patients, and visitors despite the stress of a hospital work environment.
  • Ability to perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature without loss of efficiency or composure.
  • Must be able to set and organize one's own work priorities and adapt to them as they change frequently.
  • Must be able to work concurrently on a variety of tasks/projects in an environment that may be stressful with individuals having diverse personalities and work styles.
  • Must possess the ability to comply with Trinity Health policies and procedures.
  • Must be able to travel to the various Trinity Health sites as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains clean and aseptic conditions in assigned areas by vacuuming, scouring, dust mopping, high dusting, making beds, removing trash/linen, and washing walls and ceilings.
  • Uses vacuum and materials effectively in daily work.
  • Uses detergents, germicides, or other supplies as recommended and follows recommended handling/mixing procedures.
  • Maintains a clean and neat station, cart, closet, and equipment.
  • Reports needed equipment repairs to the Supervisor.
  • Logs activities throughout the work shift as required paperwork at the end of the shift.
  • Collects soiled linen or distributes clean linen, as needed.
  • Other duties as needed and assigned by the manager.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and local laws and regulations, Trinity Health’s Organizational Integrity Program, Standards of Conduct, as well as other policies and procedures to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical, and professional behavior.
