About The Position

Responsible for the safety and cleanliness of a hospital or other healthcare facility. This role does not involve direct patient care. The Environmental Services Associate II will perform a variety of tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment, including floor care, furniture and equipment dusting, wall and window washing, waste receptacle sanitation, restroom cleaning and restocking, debris removal, operation of floor care equipment, and setup for special events. The role also includes identifying and reporting building maintenance needs.

Requirements

Experience working with the cleaning equipment and chemicals used in hospitals and healthcare centers (2-3 years required).
Strong organization skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently but also be a team player.
Good communication and comprehension skills.

Nice To Haves

High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

Sweeps, mops, waxes, strips, and polishes floors.
Vacuums and shampoos carpets.
Dusts and polishes furniture, woodwork, fixtures, and equipment.
Washes walls, ceilings, woodwork, door panels, windows, sills, blinds, and door glass.
Empties, cleans, and sanitizes waste receptacles in assigned areas.
Cleans and sanitizes restroom facilities and fixtures, including sinks, urinals, toilets, mirrors, walls, and drinking fountains; replenishes restroom supplies as needed.
Picks up debris around the building.
Operates and controls high- and low-speed stripping/buffing machines.
Sets up tables, chairs, and equipment in a variety of settings for special events and normal hospital activities.
Identifies and reports building maintenance needs in assigned buildings and facilities.
