About The Position

The Environmental Services Assistant performs cleaning tasks in assigned areas while following established policies and procedures. The role supports a healthcare environment by maintaining clean and sanitary patient rooms and facility spaces, including specialized cleaning of C-Diff patient rooms. The position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, the ability to follow oral and written instructions, and the ability to maintain cleaning equipment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED is strongly preferred; candidates willing to complete a GED within one year of employment are also encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Clean, mop, and scrub hard-surface floors.
• Maintain carpets by vacuuming and, as needed, operate a carpet extractor.
• Collect and dispose of trash.
• Clean assigned areas by dusting, mopping, and sanitizing, and replenish soap and other necessary products.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms.
• Sanitize C-Diff patient rooms using specified products and change cubicle curtains.
