About The Position

ChristianaCare is looking for a dedicated Environmental Services Assistant II – Floor Tech to help maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for our patients, caregivers, and visitors. This role plays a critical part in infection prevention and overall patient experience, with a focus on floor care and specialized cleaning processes across the hospital.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent work experience preferred
At least 1 year of environmental services or housekeeping experience preferred
Strong attention to detail and reliability
Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively
Customer service-oriented mindset
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities

Clean and maintain patient, clinical, and non-clinical areas of the hospital
Perform floor care duties, including stripping/refinishing floors, carpet shampooing, and upholstery cleaning
Disinfect precaution rooms according to infection control protocols
Remove trash, soiled linen, bulk waste, and infectious waste to appropriate locations
Maintain equipment, carts, and supply areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition
Stock supplies such as paper products and soap throughout assigned areas
Respond promptly to assigned tasks and communication during shift
Identify and report safety hazards or maintenance concerns
Follow all safety, infection control, and departmental policies
