About The Position

Performs a variety of cleaning tasks in all areas to maintain a sanitary, pleasant, and safe environment for patients, residents, visitors, and associates. Must comply with all infection control, safety, and cleanliness requirements as mandated by JCAHO, OSHA, DOH, and other regulatory agencies.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of cleaning, disinfecting, infection control, and safety procedures.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to organize cleaning duties and prioritize work to complete assignments efficiently.
  • Ability to maintain collaborative working relationships with nursing and other departments.
  • Ability to actively guard the confidentiality of sensitive information, including but not limited to the patients, staff, and the health system.
  • Ability to use judgment, creativity, resourcefulness, and planning to complete work efficiently and overcome obstacles.
  • Ability to use judgment and sensitivity to respond to patients, visitors, and associates.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1 to 2 years of work experience

Responsibilities
