About The Position

Jennie Stuart Health is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Environmental Services Aide 1 to join our healthcare facility team. This full-time, regular position plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of our healthcare environment. As an Environmental Services Aide 1, you will be responsible for ensuring that our facility meets the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene, which directly contributes to patient care and satisfaction. The position offers an annual salary range of $10.01 to $15.64, based on experience and qualifications. The Environmental Services Aide 1 will perform daily cleaning duties throughout the healthcare facility, including patient rooms, hallways, waiting areas, restrooms, and staff areas. You will follow established cleaning protocols and procedures to ensure compliance with healthcare sanitation standards and regulations. This includes proper handling of cleaning chemicals, disinfectants, and equipment according to safety guidelines and infection control protocols. You will be responsible for collecting and disposing of regular and medical waste in accordance with facility policies and regulatory requirements. In this role, you will maintain an inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, reporting shortages to the supervisor to ensure uninterrupted service. You will also respond promptly to cleaning requests and emergencies, such as spills or contamination incidents, prioritizing tasks based on urgency and impact on patient care. The position requires collaboration with nursing staff and other departments to coordinate cleaning schedules that minimize disruption to patient care while ensuring timely room turnover. As an Environmental Services Aide 1, you will be expected to maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times, as you will frequently interact with patients, visitors, and healthcare staff.
