About The Position

Responsible for performing work aimed at preventing the spread of any diseases by thoroughly cleaning and sanitizing areas, properly disposing of hazardous waste, and efficiently sterilizing equipment and apparatuses. This role does not require direct patient care. The Environmental Services Aide II will perform cleaning duties in alignment with the organization and according to pre-established schedules and infection control guidelines, complete waste stream removal, and clean and service assigned areas according to established procedures. Responsibilities also include moving furniture, equipment, and supplies in and around the Medical Center departments, performing a variety of cleaning duties to maintain the hospital in a neat, orderly, and sanitary condition, and operating assigned equipment such as floor machines and buffers. The position requires participation in a minimum of eight unit/department meetings annually and maintaining assigned patient and non-patient areas in a clean, safe, and sanitary condition at all times.

Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred
2-3 years experience working with the cleaning equipment and chemicals used in hospitals and healthcare centers required
Strong organization skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently but also be a team player.
Good communication and comprehension skills.

Responsibilities
