About The Position
Responsible for maintaining the safety, cleanliness, and overall appearance of a hospital or healthcare facility. This role focuses exclusively on environmental services and does not involve direct patient care.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required
- 2-3 years experience working with the cleaning equipment and chemicals used in hospitals and healthcare centers required
- Strong organization skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently but also be a team player.
- Good communication and comprehension skills.
Responsibilities
- Sweep, mop, wax, strip, and polish floors; vacuum and shampoo carpets.
- Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, equipment, and woodwork.
- Wash walls, ceilings, windows, sills, blinds, and door panels.
- Empty, clean, and sanitize waste receptacles in assigned areas.
- Clean and disinfect sinks, toilets, urinals, mirrors, walls, and drinking fountains; restock supplies.
- Pick up debris around the building.
- Operate high‑ and low‑speed stripping and buffing machines.
- Arrange tables, chairs, and equipment for hospital events and daily activities.
- Identify and report facility maintenance needs.
