About The Position

Housekeepers play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of residential or commercial spaces. Their responsibilities typically include cleaning and sanitizing rooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and other areas, as well as dusting, vacuuming, and mopping floors. Housekeepers not only clean but make a comfortable living for our clients and staff at OLV!

Requirements

• Must have experience operating commercial cleaning equipment
• Strong knowledge of cleaning chemicals and building finishes.
• Ability to understand and follow directions
• Experience and knowledge using and maintaining housekeeping equipment
• Organizational and time management skills
• Attention to detail: Job requires being careful about detail and thorough in completing work tasks
• Integrity, respect, confidentiality: Instills mutual trust and confidence, creates a culture that fosters high standards of ethics, behaves in a fair and ethical manner toward others

• The constant physical demands of the position are lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, balancing, stooping, crouching, reaching, handling, grasping, and feeling
• The frequent physical demands of the position are standing, walking, climbing, talking, hearing, repetitive motions, and eye/hand/foot coordination.
• The occasional physical demand of the position is sitting.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the scheduling and completion of special housekeeping projects such as floor care, carpet cleaning, emergency clean up, etc.
• Ability to inspect property sites to determine unsafe and unsanitary conditions
• Evaluates and prioritizes cleaning tasks at various sites and develops cleaning schedules to meet the prioritized needs.
• Work independently
• Ability to recognize problems, initiate action and to facilitate solutions.
• Ability to appropriately operate and maintain floor scrubbers, buffers, carpet cleaners and other heavier equipment.
• Orders cleaning supplies and maintains appropriate inventory.
• Performs any other duties assigned by supervisor
