About The Position

Perform cleaning and minor maintenance in assigned clinic to maintain the facility in an aseptic condition as required. This position is key to enhancing patient care and employee health, accordingly all duties should be conducted in accordance with infection control policies and procedures for best practices. Uphold the organization’s vision, mission, and corporate values. Demonstrate understanding of and compliance with organization’s policies, procedures, code of conduct and work rules.

Requirements

• General knowledge of typical office technologies such as computers, printers, copiers, fax machines, and typical office software.
• Patient/customer service skills, interpersonal skills and good communication skills.
• Ability to manage their time and organize their work to ensure efficient performance.
• Ability to follow policy, procedure and instructions, actively communicate with their supervisors to ensure understanding and manage their work accordingly.
• Ability to understand and manage patient/customer confidentiality.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• 0 years of general (non-supervisory) experience
• 0 years of supervisory experience

Responsibilities

• Wash and clean surface areas assigned according to established specialized cleaning procedures to include waxing, stripping, shampooing, vacuuming, sweeping, damp wiping, etc.
• Empty trash, sort and dispose of contaminated and non-contaminated trash according to established procedures and Infection Control guidelines
• Check equipment prior to the start of each day for any malfunctions, notifying supervisor and filling out a work request as required; clean equipment daily
• Check fuel tank levels, boiler operation and water systems reporting any problems that need to be corrected
• Remove snow and ice from entrances to provide entrance to the clinic
• Report any major maintenance concerns, damage or needed repairs
• Perform other duties as assigned
