About The Position
Goodwill of North Georgia is seeking an Environmental Services Technician (EST) to join their team. This role is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the store for customers through housekeeping and janitorial work. Both full-time and part-time positions are available. The full-time EST works a set schedule of 4 ten-hour days, while the part-time EST works the remaining 3 days, also ten hours a day. Requirements
- Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 30 lbs. with or without accommodations.
- Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time.
- Ability to bend, reach, and grasp throughout the work day.
- Ability to physically process (both loading and unloading) donated items with or without accommodations.
Nice To Haves
- A high school diploma, GED or equivalent education.
- One or more years of housekeeping, janitorial or custodian experience.
Responsibilities
- Dusting, mopping, sweeping, and polishing store surfaces.
- Operating buffers and floor scrubbers.
- Managing trash and maintaining cleanliness of bathrooms.
- Following task outlines for all duties.
- Ensuring work is performed in a safe and secure manner in compliance with ISO regulations, company, and state policies.
- Physically processing (loading and unloading) donated items.
- Working in various conditions including heat, cold, and dust.
