About The Position

Goodwill of North Georgia is seeking an Environmental Services Technician (EST) for both full-time and part-time positions. The role involves maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the store for customers through housekeeping and janitorial work. The full-time position involves a schedule of four 10-hour days, while the part-time position covers the remaining three 10-hour days. This role is part of a mission to transform donations into training that helps people find meaningful work.

Requirements

• Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to push, pull, lift up to 30lbs. with or without accommodations.
• Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time.
• Ability to bend, reach and grasp throughout the work day.
• Ability to work in all types of conditions including heat, cold, and dust.
• Ability to physically process (both loading and unloading) donated items with or without accommodations.

Nice To Haves

• A high school diploma, GED or equivalent education.
• One or more years of housekeeping, janitorial or custodian experience.

Responsibilities

• Dusting, mopping, sweeping, and polishing store areas.
• Operating buffers and floor scrubbers.
• Managing trash removal.
• Maintaining cleanliness of bathrooms.
• Following task outlines for all duties.
• Complying with ISO regulations, company, and state policies for safe and secure work.
• Working in various conditions including heat, cold, and dust.
• Physically processing (loading and unloading) donated items.
