About The Position

Goodwill of North Georgia is seeking an Environmental Services Technician (EST) to join their team. This role is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the store for customers through housekeeping and janitorial work. The Full Time EST will work a set schedule of 4 ten-hour days, while the Part Time EST will work the remaining 3 days, also ten hours a day. Goodwill of North Georgia uses donations to fund training programs that help people find meaningful work.

Requirements

• Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to push, pull, lift, up to 30lbs. with or without accommodations
• The ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time
• The ability to bend, reach and grasp throughout the work day

Nice To Haves

• A high school diploma, GED or equivalent education
• One or more years of housekeeping, janitorial or custodian experience

Responsibilities

• Dusting, mopping, sweeping, and polishing store areas.
• Operating buffers and floor scrubbers.
• Managing trash and maintaining bathroom cleanliness.
• Following task outlines for all duties.
• Ensuring work is performed in a safe and secure manner, complying with ISO regulations, company, and state policies.
• Working in various conditions including heat, cold, and dust.
• Physically processing (loading and unloading) donated items.
