The Environmental Service Technician will be responsible for executing daily duties to maintain a safe, hygienic, and aesthetically pleasing care environment, interacting with patients, visitors, and staff. Responsibilities

• Maintaining a clean, hygienic and aesthetically pleasing environment in a healthcare setting.
• Completing daily occupied and discharge/transfer cleaning and disinfection of patient care areas, equipment, and other common areas.
• Demonstrating a working knowledge of health care cleaning and disinfecting principles and requirements.
• Displaying safe chemical use and equipment handling.
• Maintaining cleaning cart(s), supplies, and equipment.
• Removing waste and transporting to the appropriate disposal area, identifying proper waste stream handling (regulated medical, recycle, solid, and hazardous).
• Following all infection prevention practices, including proper cleaning and disinfection protocols, hand hygiene, standard and isolation precautions, and proper donning and doffing of personal protective equipment (PPE).
