We are looking for an Environmental Services Business Leader to expand our services and footprint, in our growing Environmental Services (ES) team in North Carolina and to serve the overall Southeast environmental consulting market. Preferably you would report to our Asheville, North Carolina office; however, this could be a hybrid position with opportunities to work in other North Carolina-based offices. You will be responsible for growing our presence in this geographic area, specifically but not limited to due diligence, assessment and remediation, Brownfields, utilities, manufacturing, industrial compliance, and real estate markets, as well as serving existing SCS ES clients. You will also be responsible for the professional growth and technical development of our North Carolina ES staff. Travel will be limited, estimated up to 25%. You will wear several hats, including business development, project and people management responsibilities, growing the North Carolina ES Practice, and serving as a Seller-Doer. As an Environmental Services Business Leader, you will contribute to SCS’s continued growth by developing new and existing clients in your experienced market(s), integrating with other ES staff across the company, managing and being responsible for profit/loss of North Carolina projects, seeking profitable ways to increase ES staff across North Carolina, and managing and continuing to build a team of ES professionals to support growth. As a Seller you will contribute to our growth by playing a lead role in new client acquisition, collaborating with others at SCS to develop strategies for expanding ways in which we contribute to our clients' success, drafting and reviewing proposals, and enhancing the value of the services that we perform for existing clients. As a Doer you will work with a team of professionals, including SCS' national experts in various fields, to assist our clients in resolving a wide variety of environmental challenges to include, but not limited to: Groundwater Monitoring and Reporting, Hydrogeologic Investigations, Due Diligence including Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), Soil and Groundwater Remediation, Brownfield Redevelopment, Environmental Compliance, Mining and Energy, Liquids Management Issues, Permitting and Compliance Reporting, Operation and Maintenance Programs.
