This job completes the standardized cleaning process in patient rooms, offices, departments, and other ancillary areas utilizing the appropriate cleaning procedures. It involves following proper cleaning procedures in all assigned areas and adhering to directions for the proper use of chemicals. The role also includes performing other services such as trash/soiled linen pick-up, stocking supplies, maintaining par stock, and handling projects. Equipment is returned to its proper location after cleaning, and broken or unsafe equipment is collected, cleaned, tagged, and removed. Storage areas and environmental closets are maintained in a clean, orderly, and functional manner. Employees are expected to adhere to corporate citizenship standards, regulatory and corporate requirements, and participate in facility/department programs, training, and performance improvement while maintaining a professional image and adhering to the department attendance policy. Additionally, employees must complete duties adhering to all safety and infection control policies, procedures, and practices, including OSHA, product usage, P.P.E., proper hand washing techniques, isolation procedures, safe waste handling, and knowledge of emergency codes and correct responses. Other duties as assigned or required.
