About The Position
The EVS Associate provides environmental support to the hospital, focusing on ensuring a safe and clean environment. This role may involve general cleaning tasks in assigned hospital areas, promoting sanitary conditions to prevent the spread of infection and odors. The position may require tasks involving exposure to blood contamination and duties in the Medical Office Building, other buildings, and adjacent grounds. The EVS Associate must respond rapidly and thoroughly to emergencies, special needs, and spills.
Requirements
- HS Diploma or equivalency (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Responsible for all general cleaning tasks in their assigned area of the hospital
- Promotes sanitary conditions, which prevents the spread of infection and odors.
- May be required to perform tasks, which involve exposure to visible blood contamination or reasonably anticipated blood contamination.
- Similar duties may also extend to the Medical Office Building, other buildings and the adjacent grounds of the Medical Center’s premises.
- Responds rapidly and thoroughly to emergencies, special needs, spills, etc.
- Performs other duties as assigned
