Responsible for the safety and cleanliness of a hospital or other healthcare facility. This role does not involve direct patient care. The Environmental Service Aide II will perform tasks such as sweeping, mopping, waxing, stripping, and polishing floors, as well as vacuuming and shampooing carpets. They will also dust and polish furniture, woodwork, fixtures, and equipment. Additionally, the role includes washing walls, ceilings, woodwork, door panels, windows, sills, blinds, and door glass. Responsibilities extend to emptying, cleaning, and sanitizing waste receptacles, and cleaning and sanitizing restroom facilities and fixtures, including replenishing supplies. The aide will pick up debris around the building, operate high and low speed stripping/buffing machines, and set up tables, chairs, and equipment for various events and activities. A key function is identifying and reporting building maintenance needs.
