Requirements

  • BA/BS in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving history and reliable transportation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other widely used computer programs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent technical communication skills with strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrated commitment to safe work practices and maintaining an excellent safety record
  • Ability to work effectively in fast‑paced environments and manage workloads efficiently

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of experience in a similar environmental or field‑based role
  • Connecticut Remediation Standard Regulations (RSRs) experience
  • Connecticut or Massachusetts stormwater sampling and reporting experience
  • 40‑hour HAZWOPER certification

Responsibilities

  • Collect field samples of soil, soil vapor, groundwater, surface water, and drinking water.
  • Provide oversight of site investigation and characterization, as well as contaminated site remediation.
  • Collect stormwater samples from municipal and private facilities in CT.
  • Prepare field notes, photographs, and perform analysis and interpretation of field and analytical data.
  • Prepare technical reports and conduct ASTM Phase I and Phase II environmental site assessments.
  • Support emergency response services, communicate and collaborate with others, manage workloads and records, implement health & safety policies, and travel to different project sites.
