Requirements

  • BS degree in science or related field
  • Current 40-Hour HazWoper Certification
  • Detail-oriented, focused professional with strong organization, analytical, and technical writing skills demonstrating focus, clarity, and accuracy.
  • 3+ years relevant experience including soil, soil vapor, and groundwater sampling.
  • Experience drafting detailed data tables and work-performed reports.
  • Excellent safety awareness and a good record and understanding of safe work practices.
  • Team-oriented but able to work independently.
  • Interest and commitment to cross-training and professional development.
  • A valid driver's license, safe driving history, and reliable transportation are required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.

  • Geologist or Engineer in Training (GIT/EIT)

Responsibilities

  • Provide field and office support for environmental consulting assignments including Phase I/II ESAs, ACM/Mold Surveys and abatement oversight, Construction and Industrial Stormwater Compliance Inspections, Soil/Soil Vapor/Groundwater/Stormwater Sampling, AST Compliance Inspections, and related client-focused services.
  • Support consulting projects for national, regional, and local clients in collaboration with and at the direction of senior engineers, geologists, industrial hygienists, environmental scientists, and related professionals.
  • Perform field duties such as soil, soil vapor, and groundwater sampling, prepare detailed soil/well boring logs, inspect and maintain in-situ remediation equipment, inspect hazardous waste storage tanks, and oversee subcontractor activity.
  • Prepare office documents including data tables, figures, draft work plans, sampling and analysis plans, quality assurance/quality control plans, site-specific health and safety plans, permits, and work-performed reports.
  • Maintain project files and client-specific databases.
  • Manage site safety by developing job hazard analyses, performing site safety inspections, and contributing to best practices.
  • Proactively maintain and obtain OSHA 40-Hour HazWoper, Qualified SWPPP Practitioner (QSP), Certified Site Sampling Technician (CSST), and as applicable, Geologist or Engineer in Training (GIT/EIT) certifications to develop professional experience, education, and accreditations.
