About The Position
Arcadis is seeking an Environmental Scientist 2 to join its Charlotte, North Carolina Industrial Hygiene (IH) team. This role involves supporting a variety of industrial hygiene projects across the southeastern United States, with a focus on asbestos and hazardous building materials, indoor air quality and mold investigations, and IH exposure monitoring. The position requires budget tracking, technical report writing and/or reviews, staff coordination and planning, and client interactions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in science
- 3+ years in consulting or professional services preferred
- Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and state regulations related to asbestos and mold
- OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification
- RCRA/DOT Hazardous Waste Shipping Training
- Valid driver’s license

Responsibilities
- Work with project teams and subcontractors to gather the information needed to prepare technical reports.
- Review field documentation for industrial hygiene and air quality inspections.
- Assess the accuracy and completeness of submittals.
- Verify findings and develop recommendations with guidance from technical leadership.
- Analyze laboratory data and reports.
- Prepare technical memos, summary reports, and other deliverables for clients.
