About The Position

CRI Advantage is seeking an experienced Environmental Scientist to provide technical support for environmental remediation activities, regulatory compliance, scientific analyses, and preparation of technical documentation required under Department of Energy (DOE) standards. The role involves collaborating with project management, technical staff, DOE personnel, and regulatory stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Geology, or related scientific discipline.
• Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in environmental remediation, site characterization, or related scientific/engineering work.
• Experience with dose assessments, risk assessments, multi-media transport modeling, radiological analyses, and disposal performance assessments.
• Experience supporting facility design, construction, or closure projects.
• Strong technical writing and documentation skills.
• Ability to work onsite in Idaho Falls on a 4x10 schedule.
• Must comply with all applicable environmental, safety, health, security, and Integrated Safety Management System requirements.
• Candidate must be able to satisfy DOE site access and background screening requirements.

Nice To Haves

• DOE site experience.
• Experience with DOE Order 435.1.
• Experience supporting CERCLA, RCRA, and NEPA compliance.
• Experience with DOE Order 413.3B project documentation.
• Experience working with DOE, EPA, Idaho DEQ, Tribal Nations, and other stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and publish technical documents including engineering design files, annual reports, and conceptual site models.
• Evaluate technical data and prepare summaries, conclusions, and recommendations.
• Support development of project documentation required by DOE Order 413.3B.
• Contribute to project scope, schedule, and budget development.
• Ensure solutions comply with applicable standards, regulations, and company policies.
• Participate in technical meetings with project personnel, DOE representatives, and regulatory agencies.
• Support design testing, operations, scientific analyses, document reviews, and field activities as assigned.
• Collaborate with project management and technical staff to resolve complex regulatory issues.
