Wood Environment & Infrastructure Solutions is currently seeking a Mid-Level Environmental Scientist to join our team in Columbia, SC to support our Natural Resources, Water Resources, and Environmental Assessment groups. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor of Science degree in biology, biological sciences, ecology, environmental science, natural resources or a related field and five to ten years of experience. The ideal candidate will join our Carolinas’ Natural Resources team with an opportunity to work on a variety of projects throughout the Southeast, with an initial focus on projects in and around South Carolina. The candidate will work with our multidisciplinary team of scientists and engineers to support wetland delineations, Section 404/401 permitting efforts, stream and wetland mitigation projects, and NEPA environmental documentation. Candidates with familiarity with wetland delineation, Section 404/401 permitting, habitat assessments, and/or GIS proficiency will be given preference. Candidates can be located anywhere throughout the Carolinas, with some travel to project sites included. Proximity to Columbia, SC is preferred but not required.
