About The Position

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an Environmental Scientist to join our Transportation Team. This is an entry-level position and is based out of Tampa, Florida. Your Role Support the planning and environmental teams to deliver transportation projects in the Tampa Bay area and throughout the state of Florida, particularly in the realm of environmental contamination. Identify, evaluate, and handle potential contamination in all phases of the transportation project development process (planning, environmental, design, and construction) to comply with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations. Review and comment on contamination-related documents produced by other consultants. Coordinate testing and remediation contractors. Participate in field visits and contamination assessments. Provide compliance and certifications for transportation projects. Track and manage project schedules. Serve as liaison in client's office. Perform such other duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.

Requirements

  • Completion of Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Management from an ABET accredited college/university or related field.
  • 0-2 Years of professional experience in a related technical field.
  • Basic computer skills required to enter data into spreadsheets or databases.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Geographic Information Systems (preferred).
  • Experience developing technical writings and reports.
