About The Position

We are seeking a highly experienced Industrial Hygienist to join our Industrial Hygiene & the Built Environment team in Michigan. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise in industrial hygiene, a strong track record in regulatory compliance, and the ability to operate as a trusted advisor to clients. This role requires a high degree of independence, leadership in project delivery, and the ability to manage complex assignments while consistently delivering high-quality, client-focused solutions.

Requirements

Degree in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Health, Occupational Safety, or related field
5–10 years of industrial hygiene experience, preferably in a consulting environment
Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and industrial hygiene principles
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to present findings to clients
Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

Lead and perform comprehensive industrial hygiene assessments, including exposure monitoring for chemical, physical, and biological hazards.
Oversee inspections and sampling programs for asbestos, lead-based paint, mold, and indoor air quality (IAQ) concerns.
Design and implement remediation strategies, providing expert recommendations for hazard identification, mitigation, and control.
Prepare and review detailed technical reports, presenting findings and recommendations clearly to senior client stakeholders.
Ensure adherence to OSHA, EPA, and other applicable regulatory frameworks, acting as a subject matter expert in compliance matters.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated environmental, health, and safety solutions across complex projects.
Provide strategic guidance on ventilation systems, respiratory protection programs, and hazard communication initiatives.
Contribute to business development efforts by supporting key client relationships, participating in client meetings, and assisting in proposal development.
