Performs environmental compliance tasks independently within one or more media areas, with limited supervision. Requirements
- 2-5 years of relevant environmental compliance experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant environmental discipline.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a NASA PIV badge.
- 40-hour HAZWOPER
- DOT/IATA/RCRA hazardous waste training.
Responsibilities
- Independently conduct and document required inspections and coordinate weekly/monthly waste pickups.
- Prepare draft Discharge Monitoring Reports (DMRs) and permit-tracking entries; maintain compliance records.
- Coordinate hazardous waste characterization, accumulation, and shipment; support manifest and e-manifest processing.
- Maintain and update data in government environmental systems and GIS/field-mapping tools.
- Assist with permit renewals, notifications, and regulatory recordkeeping.
