Entry Level Environmental Scientist/Geologist/Engineer
About The Position
LaBella is hiring an entry-level Environmental Scientist/Geologist/Engineer for its Environmental division in Rochester or Ithaca, New York. The role involves environmental monitoring of construction projects, overseeing fieldwork for Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, and supporting environmental investigation and remediation projects at contaminated sites. Contaminants may include solvents, petroleum fuels, metals, and PCBs. The position includes fieldwork in all weather conditions, environmental construction monitoring, air, soil, sediment, and groundwater sampling, drilling supervision, soil classification and logging, report writing, and support for project managers. Candidates must be willing to adjust their schedule to meet the needs of a range of projects. Routine travel to job sites and occasional out-of-town travel with overnight stays may be required. The role requires lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds over short distances. The stated salary range is $24.00–$26.00 per hour. The specific salary offered may depend on factors including relevant experience, education, and work location.

Responsibilities
- Perform environmental construction monitoring and supervise field activities.
- Collect air, soil, sediment, and groundwater samples.
- Supervise drilling and perform soil classification and logging.
- Adhere to the Health and Safety program.
- Prepare reports.
- Support environmental investigation and remediation projects and project managers.
- Perform additional duties as required.
