About The Position

This entry-level role is part of our Integrated Air Services (IAS) Group. Weston’s IAS team conducts testing projects to assist clients in emissions testing and demonstrating emissions compliance with industry-specific regulations set forth in the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Title 40 – Protection of Environment. Projects typically involve measuring air emissions directly from industrial sources and/or the ambient air in the vicinity using state-of-the-art instrumentation housed in mobile laboratories. Must be comfortable working at heights (up to 75 feet minimum), with regular responsibilities that include climbing stacks and performing work on elevated structures.

Requirements

  • BS or AS degree in Environmental Science, Physical Science, or Engineering preferred. Technical High School graduates with mechanical aptitude are encouraged to apply.
  • Testing experience is a plus but not required; on-the-job technical and safety training provided.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to learn technical sampling techniques, work with a team, work outdoors at elevation, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Perform scientific emissions testing procedures utilizing EPA or ASTM Test Methodologies.
  • Work safely in a positive enterprise and team environment.
  • Travel up to 80%, primarily within the Southeast Region, with potential assignments in other U.S. regions. This typically involves being away Monday through Friday, with all travel expenses covered by the company.
