About The Position

Propulsion Controls Engineering has a current opening for an Environmental, Safety & Health Technician I, with knowledge of OSHA Regulations 29 CFR 1910, 1915 and NAVSEA Standard Items; supporting our Bremerton and Everett, Washington, CA locations. An ESH Technician serves as an environmental and safety resource for facility and subcontractor personnel working in a variety of industrial fields associated with ship repair. The areas include: on board sea going vessels and ships; industrial shops; dry docks;, etc., ensuring compliance with established Federal OSHA, State OSHA, NAVSEA Standard Items, and Maritime regulations and/or requirements. This position may require access to U.S. government or military sites. As such, candidates must be eligible to obtain base access clearance, which includes passing a background check and presenting valid government-issued identification. Per federal requirements, acceptable ID must be REAL ID-compliant or an approved form of federal identification, such as a valid U.S. passport.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED certificate or equivalent education and experience.
  • Ability to work at a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Must possess knowledge of OSHA Regulations 29 CFR 1910, 1915 and NAVSEA Standard Items.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge of proper investigating and reporting of incidents.
  • Strong communicator
  • Ability to resolve complaints and negotiate with others.
  • Must be eligible to obtain base access clearance, which includes passing a background check and presenting valid government-issued identification.
