Responsible for implementing corporate, field, and office ESH policies and procedures across assigned business units and/or project sites. This role involves championing "The Layton Way" by delivering predictable outcomes and upholding "Constructing with Integrity" through honesty, unity, safety, and quality of work. The ESH Manager will establish and reinforce a safety culture with Layton and subcontractor employees across multiple U.S. project sites, manage safety programs including CCIP and complex risk management initiatives, and provide regulatory and policy interpretation. The position requires recommending improvements to ESH tools, processes, policies, and training, reviewing audit summaries and injury statistics to identify risks, and sharing data to develop corporate safety trends. The ESH Manager will also assist leadership in monitoring new legislation, monitor workers’ compensation issues, conduct incident review meetings, and oversee a monthly audit program. Training implementation to support Safety 360 and ensure subcontractor OSHA/MSHA compliance is key, as is participation in pre-construction meetings and ensuring accurate accident reporting and preventive measures. Support for injury management, including proper medical care and cost control, is also a responsibility. The role involves developing, implementing, and overseeing project-specific safety programs and supervising the safe behavior of all craft workers and employees. The ESH Manager will interface with SBU leaders, site supervision, subcontractor management, and government agencies (OSHA, EPA, MSHA). The position requires regular travel across the U.S. to assigned projects, supporting both short-term and long-term deployments.
