About The Position

Primary focus on maintaining air permitting and compliance programs. The candidate will support environmental processes, policies, and compliance for EOG corporate programs. The candidate will support and develop ongoing improvements of environmental systems, provide support & solutions for data management, and data migration through EOG information systems. The candidate should have a knowledge of oil and gas operational equipment/functions. The candidate will communicate and collaborate with other environmental and regulatory specialists across the company to ensure consistency in project execution. The candidate will have knowledge of state and federal regulatory air regulations. Travel up to 20% is required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science or related field.
  • Knowledge of air regulations (e.g., EPA, state-specific air quality rules).
  • Strong analytical and data management skills.
  • Ability to interpret regulatory requirements and technical documents.
  • Knowledge of oil and gas operational equipment/functions.

Nice To Haves

  • 3-5 years' experience in oil and gas air permitting or environmental compliance.
  • Experience with Wyoming, North Dakota, and Tribal air permitting is a plus.
  • Familiarity with environmental management systems and regulatory reporting platforms.
  • Knowledge of oil and gas facility emission modeling software (e.g., ProMax, HYSYS, TANKS).

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, submit, and maintain air permit applications, renewals, and modifications.
  • Interpret permit requirements and ensure operational compliance with permit conditions.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and regulatory agencies regarding permit changes and compliance expectations.
  • Develop and submit periodic regulatory reports, including semiannual, annual, and records request reports.
  • Track compliance certification deadlines and ensure accurate, timely submissions.
  • Assist with gathering, validating, and analyzing operational data required for reporting.
  • Compile, calculate, and verify annual emission inventories for all regulated and/or reported pollutants.
  • Work with internal teams to collect activity data, equipment, fuel usage, throughput, and related inputs.
  • Maintain detailed and up‑to‑date inventories of emission units, control devices, and process equipment.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and support agency reviews or audits.
