About The Position

You will assist with the regulatory coordination of information from project team members and consultants for the preparation of Applications/Authorization/Plans and with the preparation of project information for presentation to regulators and stakeholders. You can contribute to the success of Canadian Natural’s operations by understanding and explaining leading-edge environmental regulations.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in your 3rd or 4th year of a program in Engineering, Science, Forestry or Environmental Science or the equivalent of Political Science, Law and Society Program
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean drivers abstract
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Attention to detail to generate high quality work requiring minimal revisions
  • Strong written communication skills to review and appropriately condense key elements of external correspondence and regulatory decisions
  • Strong organizational skills required to coordinate and schedule multiple, concurrent activities related to report and application submissions and reporting to stakeholders
  • All candidates applying to Canadian Natural must have legal authorization to work in Canada with no restrictions.

Nice To Haves

  • knowledge of statistical programs would be an asset (i.e. Mini Tab software)

Responsibilities

  • Support preparation of regulatory applications, reports, and responses to information requests from regulators
  • Assist with data compilation and basic analysis for regulatory reporting and submissions
  • Contribute to documentation supporting Indigenous consultation and stakeholder engagement requirements
  • Help prepare materials for communication with stakeholders, including Indigenous communities
  • Support field and office-based regulatory/environmental activities, including tracking approval conditions for compliance
  • Monitor regulatory updates, publications, and decisions to help identify and communicate changes in requirements
