About The Position

Be the eyes, ears, and voice for Marlborough's environment. This role involves being out in the community, building relationships, and tackling challenges that make a real difference. The Environmental Protection Officer will spend time across the region visiting various sites, meeting people, investigating issues, and helping protect the environment. The role focuses on building strong relationships, having meaningful conversations, and using interpersonal skills to educate, influence, and encourage good environmental practice. When necessary, the role also involves investigating issues fairly and objectively, gathering evidence, and contributing to enforcement action to support Council's regulatory responsibilities. This is a full-time role based in Blenheim.
