This position focuses on supporting air quality compliance and enforcement across several counties in the Southeast Region. As an Environmental Protection Compliance Specialist, you will perform the following duties: Record Management: Maintain and review compliance files and tracking systems to support accurate documentation Case Evaluation: Research case histories and assess evidence to determine appropriate enforcement actions Interagency Coordination: Share information and collaborate with agency offices and attorneys on compliance matters Enforcement Actions: Prepare draft documents and summaries for administrative, civil, and criminal actions Legal Support: Assist with hearings by organizing evidence and preparing witnesses Data Entry: Input information into electronic data systems to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Requirements

  • One year of professional experience as a Sanitarian, Air Quality Specialist, Solid Waste Specialist, or Water Quality Specialist (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or Any equivalent combination of experience and/or training which affords the applicant the required knowledges, skills, and abilities.
  • Possession of a valid motor vehicle operator's license as issued by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
  • Meet the PA residency requirement.
  • Able to perform essential job functions.

Nice To Haves

  • Occasional overnight travel is required.
