Requirements

Two years of construction inspection experience on heavy construction projects such as dams, flood control projects, mine reclamation projects, treatment plants, hazardous waste projects, airports, highways or utility installations.
An Associate Degree in Building Construction Technology, Civil Engineering Technology, Survey Technology, Construction Engineering Technology, or a closely related field.
An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Possession of a valid Pennsylvania driver's license.
Meet the PA residency requirement.
Able to perform essential job functions.

Responsibilities

Inspect construction, environmental, and mine reclamation projects to ensure compliance with permits, plans, and regulations.
Perform site inspections, driving to project locations and assessing construction activities, materials, and conditions.
Review plans, permits, and specifications to verify proper enforcement and adherence to contracts.
Accept or reject materials and workmanship based on established requirements.
Inspect erosion and sedimentation devices and ensure corrective actions are taken.
Compile daily records, prepare reports, and submit estimates using electronic tools.
Examine mine-related complaints and provide written findings and recommendations.
