AECOM is seeking an Environmental Project Manager to lead investigation and remediation projects, primarily for U.S. Federal clients and under firm-fixed-price (FFP) and cost-plus fixed fee (CPFF) contracts. The role involves projects across multiple AECOM operations and coordinating with subject matter experts and different disciplines. It is a full-time hybrid position based in AECOM’s Germantown, Maryland office, combining telecommuting with in-office attendance. The Project Manager plans, coordinates, and controls projects and major tasks from inception to completion. The role is accountable for completing work on time, within authorized scope and budget, and in accordance with quality and safety requirements. Responsibilities include working with staff, clients, and subcontractors; setting project objectives and policies; managing client relationships; and providing technical direction and guidance. The position requires strong written and spoken communication, organization, time management, and effectiveness in a team-oriented environment. The Project Manager generally works independently, with guidance on specific assignments and complex matters, and may supervise junior or mid-level engineers and scientists, as well as project administration, controls, scheduling, cost, estimating, and procurement personnel.
