About The Position

EA Engineering, Science, and Technology, Inc., PBC is seeking a senior-level Environmental Engineer or Geologist with strong experience in CERCLA-regulated environmental investigation and remediation to lead and manage complex investigation and cleanup projects. This role is intended for professionals with 8+ years of direct environmental consulting experience, including technical leadership, project management, and client-facing responsibility on CERCLA projects. The ideal candidate will have direct experience working on mining and mining related projects. Candidates without a strong background in environmental investigations, remediation, CERCLA, will not be considered. The ideal candidate has a proven ability to manage multidisciplinary teams, oversee technically rigorous work, and serve as a trusted advisor to public- and private-sector clients. This individual will play a key role in expanding EA’s CERCLA, mining and remediation practices and presence within the Central and Western United States.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of experience, or Master’s degree with 6+ years of experience, in one of the following: Environmental, Civil, or Chemical Engineering, Geology or Geological Engineering, Environmental Science or a closely related field
  • Demonstrated, hands-on experience with CERCLA projects is required
  • Experience managing large, complex environmental remediation projects from investigation through implementation
  • Strong client-facing skills, including business development and proposal support
  • Proven ability to maintain long-term client relationships
  • Ability to travel 1–2 times per month, with trips typically lasting 1–3 days
  • Must be able to pass a motor vehicle records check required by our insurer.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership and project management for environmental investigations, remedial designs, and construction projects under CERCLA frameworks
  • Lead environmental efforts including: Soil and groundwater remediation, Environmental investigations including field efforts, Potentially responsible party (PRP) oversight
  • Apply extensive knowledge of CERCLA regulations and best practices
  • Oversee and mentor multidisciplinary project teams while ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory standards
  • Promote and model a strong safety culture across all project activities
  • Prepare, review, and deliver high-quality technical reports and regulatory submittals
  • Support negotiation, dispute resolution, and agency coordination on complex environmental projects
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including preparation of technical proposals and scopes of work
  • Build, maintain, and expand long-term client relationships that generate repeat business
  • Collaborate with professionals across EA offices to support client needs and strategic initiatives
