Environmental Project Manager - Full Time (Calgary or Edmonton, Alberta, Canada)
About The Position
Pario Engineering & Environmental Sciences LP is seeking an Environmental Project Manager to join their remediation and emergency response team. This role is based in or near Calgary or Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The successful candidate will manage projects related to transportation and commercial releases, focusing on loss mitigation, site remediation, and efficient file closure for clients. The ideal candidate will be dynamic, self-motivated, and results-oriented, with a university degree in Environmental Engineering or Geosciences or a college diploma in Environmental Sciences or related study, a minimum of two years' experience in the environmental field, and at least two years of project management experience. Hazmat experience is considered an asset.
Requirements
- Degree in Science or Engineering (Environmental or Earth Sciences preferred) or related diploma with applicable experience.
- A minimum of two years’ experience within the environmental field.
- At least two years of project management experience.
- Experience in soil and groundwater remediation projects including delineation, monitoring and management.
- Experience with invoicing, budgeting, and other areas of project management.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- A valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the assigned region.
- Flexible schedule; willingness to work after hours on weekends when required.

- Hazmat experience.
Responsibilities
- Emergency response activities including initial investigation, real-time remedial planning, retaining and managing sub-contractors, cost control, field supervision and documentation.
- Project management of contractors in the field and organizational and scientific documentation of remediation as it progresses.
- Client and regulatory report preparation and liaising with regulators and other stakeholders.
- Client engagement and participation in business development activities.
- Managing projects primarily related to transportation losses.
