About The Position

Intertek, a leading provider of quality and safety solutions, is seeking a Project Manager to join their Environmental team, supporting the South East region and covering the Nashville, TN area. This role is within Intertek's Building and Construction division, which offers innovative product and project solutions across various architecture, engineering, and construction disciplines. Intertek's project-related assurance, testing, inspection, and consulting services are designed to ensure the reliability, safety, and performance of developments, assets, and facilities. Professional Service Industries, Inc. (Intertek-PSI), a part of Intertek, is a leading US-based provider of construction assurance, testing, and inspection in civil and commercial construction, with services including construction materials testing, geotechnical services, environmental engineering, industrial hygiene, and specialty testing. The Project Manager will support the Building and Construction business by overseeing and conducting Environmental projects in the Nashville, TN Region.

Requirements

  • BS in related field such as Engineering, Geology or Environmental Sciences
  • 3+ years of environmental consulting industry related experience
  • Must be able to perform tasks in varying field/office conditions.
  • Must be able to operate most field/office equipment and software relating to one’s discipline.
  • Strong technical proposal and report writing abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Environment including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and Outlook
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Valid Driver's License and reliable driving record

Nice To Haves

  • Professional Registration, PE, PG, or CIH is preferred
  • TN asbestos licenses a Plus
  • OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Managing & Conducting Environmental Projects including but not limited to: Environmental Site Assessments -Phase I/II and III
  • Asbestos, Lead Paint, IAQ & Industrial Hygiene Testing
  • Ability to prepare technical proposals and reports
  • Ability to communicate with clients and regulators to keep projects moving and on schedule
  • Ability to self-manage and make decisions during all phases of a project
  • Ability to manage and control project budgets and build solid relationships with clients
