About The Position

Epsilon is looking for an experienced environmental professional to lead and manage permitting and ecological survey efforts for energy and infrastructure projects within Massachusetts and surrounding states. This role involves meaningful work in environmental permitting and collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams on a wide range of energy projects.

Requirements

  • BS degree or higher and 5 to 15 years of relevant experience in environmental/wetland science, biology, or a related natural resource discipline
  • Demonstrated experience with environmental permitting in Massachusetts (WPA, 401 WQC, 404 Permits, MESA, Chapter 91, etc.) and other New England States
  • Understands energy markets and utility-scale development (electric transmission / distribution, wind, solar, battery storage, etc.)
  • Applicants must have all necessary paperwork to work in the USA

Nice To Haves

  • Professional certification(s) such as PWS, NH CWS, CT Certified Soil Scientist a plus
  • Collaborative, detail-oriented, and ready to make a difference on a daily basis

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage federal, state and local environmental permitting efforts with an emphasis on the Clean Water Act, MA Wetlands Protection Act and municipal wetlands protection bylaws
  • Assist with business development and client management
  • Oversee and conduct complex wetland delineations and ecological field work
  • Conduct inspections to ensure compliance during construction
  • Represent clients and Epsilon at public meetings, agency workshops, and stakeholder sessions
  • Mentor junior staff
