About The Position

We are seeking an Environmental Project Coordinator (Engineer or Scientist) to join our Environmental business in Baton Rouge, LA. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to our Contamination Assessment & Remediation service line by coordinating and implementing a wide range of environmental solutions and projects. You will be part of a dynamic, high-performing team, engaging in diverse work that includes research, design, planning, and execution of engineering duties related to environmental hazard prevention, control, and remediation. Our hybrid work model encourages in-office collaboration three days a week within a vibrant environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and/or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Geology or related field
  • 3-8 years of experience in environmental consulting including environmental permitting & compliance, remediation & design, site assessments, report writing, data management & interpretation and environmental project coordination
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work both within a team and independently
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability and willingness to travel to undertake field work is required

Nice To Haves

  • PE or PG professional designation is an asset
  • Experience in coordinating and simultaneously managing multiple tasks while maintaining a high degree of attention to detail in a consulting environment is preferred
  • Electrical systems and remediation system operation and maintenance is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the design of engineering solutions and supervise feasibility testing.
  • Follow health, safety, and environment (HSE) policies to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Lead waste projects, ensuring regulatory adherence and effective waste management.
  • Support technical troubleshooting for equipment and experiments.
  • Recommend technical developments to improve website/portal/software quality.
  • Create engineering drawings to support the communication and implementation of engineering solutions.
  • Collate and analyze data independently using preset tools, methods, and formats.
  • Work within an established project management plan to achieve specific goals.
  • Design test procedures and standards using product specifications.
  • Carry out research activities to support others or fulfill role requirements.
  • Develop personal capabilities through training, coaching, and professional accreditation.
  • Maintain an understanding of relevant technology, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Assist senior colleagues in managing client and customer relationships.
  • Prepare technical correspondence, project proposals, reports, work plans, and project specifications.
  • Coordinate and implement project permitting.
  • Interpret and evaluate environmental regulations.
  • Compile, reduce, and interpret data.
  • Demonstrate understanding of remediation, remediation methods, and operations and maintenance requirements.
