About The Position

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an Environmental Planning Intern – Spring 2027 to join our Tampa, FL office. This role involves contributing to technical reports, planning memos, and client deliverables. The intern will visit project sites to gather data, analyze the social, cultural, physical, and environmental impacts of projects, and provide written and graphic input for various project documents. Responsibilities also include coordinating graphic exhibit preparation, technical work with internal disciplines, and providing support at public meetings. The intern will participate in team meetings, collaborate on project tasks, and demonstrate a willingness to learn new tools, processes, and industry best practices. The supervisor may assign other duties as deemed necessary.

Requirements

  • Must have completed 30 hours towards a Planning degree from an accredited college/university by the start of the internship (Spring 2027).

Nice To Haves

  • No experience is generally required if accepted into a Bachelor's degree program in a related technical field.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the preparation of technical reports, planning memos, and client deliverables.
  • Visits project sites and gathers data.

  • Provides written and graphic input for technical memos, feasibility studies, environmental reports and project status reports.
  • Coordinates graphic exhibit preparation and/or other portions of a planning project.
  • Coordinates technical work requirements with internal disciplines.
  • Provides support at public meetings.
  • Participate in team meetings and collaborate on project tasks, both independently and in group settings.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to learn new tools, processes, and industry best practices.
  • Performs such other duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.
