About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Environmental Permitting & Compliance Specialist with oil and gas industry experience to support a range of regulatory, permitting, and field compliance activities. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience preparing permit packages, conducting wetland evaluations, and ensuring environmental compliance for oil and gas and linear infrastructure projects across Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Ohio. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Ecology, Geology, Environmental Engineering, or a related field
  • 3–10+ years of experience in environmental permitting and compliance, preferably within the oil and gas industry
  • Demonstrated experience preparing and submitting permit applications in PA, WV, and OH
  • Strong working knowledge of state and federal environmental regulations and permitting processes
  • Experience conducting wetland delineations using USACE methodology
  • Solid understanding of erosion and sediment control practices and stormwater management
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong technical writing, communication, and organizational skills
  • Willingness to travel and perform fieldwork in varying terrain and weather conditions

Nice To Haves

  • CPESC (or progress toward certification)
  • Experience with right-of-way support, including slips, design and restoration
  • Familiarity with cathodic protection design
  • OSHA HAZWOPER 40-hour certification
  • Experience with GIS, AutoCAD, or similar design/mapping tools
  • Background in pipeline and other linear project permitting

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, submit, and manage environmental permit applications, including ESCGP-4, Nationwide Permit 12 (NWP 12), and other applicable general permits
  • Develop Erosion & Sediment Control (E&S) Plans and Post-Construction Stormwater Management (PCSM) plans
  • Prepare and manage air permitting packages, including GP-5, GP-5A, and GP-1
  • Support development of grading plans, pipeline alignments, and profiles for oil and gas infrastructure
  • Conduct wetland delineations in accordance with USACE methodology and support Chapter 105 permitting efforts
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations across PA, WV, and OH
  • Perform site inspections, environmental compliance audits, and construction monitoring
  • Coordinate with regulatory agencies, clients, and internal teams to facilitate permitting and resolve compliance issues
  • Prepare technical reports, permit narratives, and supporting documentation
  • Provide field oversight to ensure adherence to permit conditions and environmental protection requirements
