The Environmental Operations Technician will be responsible for working knowledge of application equipment and modern farm equipment. This role requires a working knowledge of the fundamentals of regulatory requirements for nutrient management, application rate calculations, calibration calculations, record-keeping, and manure sampling protocols. The technician must have knowledge, awareness, and adherence to the policies governing safety and environment. This position may require travel overnight on a seasonal basis to remote locations in the Midwest. Responsibilities include conducting facility inspections to ensure Federal/state regulatory compliance and developing and comprehending GIS maps using ARCMAP. The role also performs technical support for the development of comprehensive nutrient management plans.
