MISSION / SUMMARY: The Manager HSE (Environmental), is a key member of the Waco, TX Paperboard Manufacturing Leadership team and is responsible for leading the Environmental Function at the operation, implementing operational plans to drive both short and long-term objectives, and provide expertise through demonstrated leadership. The position is responsible for managing the environmental aspects of the GPI HSE Management System and related matters to safeguard the environment. This role reports directly to the operation’s Mill Manager and engages other operations and functions as required. The Waco Environmental Manager supports the global HSE global vision, mission, overall goals and objectives and is the key liaison with HSE leadership. The Manager will have history of sustained results, leadership, prioritization, coordination and consistent deployment of strategy, customer service and compliance are requirements for this position. Direct responsibilities include environmental regulatory compliance and agency and community interaction. The individual works cross-functionally and to develop relationships to achieve compliance, positive employee, and community relations, influences to create a positive HSE culture and drives results that achieve positive business performance. The individual will influence proactively in a dynamic work environment. Expected results focus on driving a proactive, sustainable, and continuously improving HSE management system, developing, and enhancing employee environmental knowledge, innovating transformation, and performing with excellence.
