About The Position

The Environmental Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining environmental compliance programs to ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations. This position leads environmental stewardship initiatives, manages permitting requirements, and oversees environmental reporting. The Environmental Manager will be based in Macedon, NY, where approximately 75% of their time will be dedicated to supporting the local facility. The remaining 25% of time will be focused on assisting other ABX locations by providing environmental compliance support including reports, auditing, training, permitting expertise. This role involves multi-site support and travel requirements, with 75% of working time dedicated to the Macedon, NY facility and 25% to supporting other ABX locations. Periodic travel is required to support inspections, permitting, and environmental initiatives, expected to be less than 10% but higher in the first year.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Engineering, Sustainability, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3 - 5 years of environmental compliance experience.
• Knowledge of RCRA, CAA, CWA, SPCC, and hazardous waste regulations.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with EPA, NYSDEC, OSHA, and local regulations.

• Maintain environmental records and reporting systems.
