The Environmental Manager is responsible for maintaining compliance with all environmental permits, including Title V/Clean Air Act air permits, NPDES stormwater and wastewater permits, RCRA hazardous waste authorizations, and SPCC plans. This role involves managing permit renewals, modifications, and new applications in coordination with state and federal regulatory agencies. The Environmental Manager serves as the primary contact for regulatory inspections, audits, and enforcement matters, and oversees the preparation and submission of required environmental reports. This position also manages refinery air emissions monitoring programs, evaluates operational changes for permit impact, administers waste and stormwater programs, and develops environmental training. The role includes leading internal audits, driving continuous improvement in environmental performance, supporting corporate sustainability goals, and leading incident response and remediation programs. Additionally, the Environmental Manager participates in budget preparation, supports environmental responsibilities at all HRC locations, and supervises environmental group employees. The role requires staying current on environmental issues through industry groups and monitoring regulatory developments.
