As an Laboraatory Technician (temporary assignment for 10-/+ months) , you’ll be responsible for assisting multiple projects where you will have increasing interaction with our multi-disciplinary staff, regulatory agencies and clients. You will be part of a strong team of committed professionals. The compensation range for this role is $18.00 to $20.00 , commensurate with experience, skills, and geographic location. Schedule: Monday - Friday

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
  • Understanding of physical and chemical principles underlying why procedures are specified the way they were for each method with which they work.
  • Computer skills: knowledge of Microsoft Office and other relevant computer programs
  • Analytical and numerical skills: ability to perform mathematical calculations (add, subtract, multiply, divide) in different units of measurement; ability to use concepts such as fractions, percentages, and ratios
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to write correspondence and reports
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work such as moving and lifting equipment, standing for long periods of time, etc.

Nice To Haves

  • associate's or Bachelor's degree in a scientific field preferred

Responsibilities

  • Preparation of samples for analysis
  • Preparation of reagents for lab use and/or shipment
  • Sample preparation
  • Determining the volume of samples
  • Cleaning of laboratory glassware
  • Maintaining clean laboratory areas
  • Maintaining organized records of sample preparation and analysis
  • Overhead projects designed to improve efficiency of, or accuracy of analyses
  • Assisting the Group Leaders and analysts in acquiring and inventorying consumables, chemicals, and parts for instrumentation
  • Comply with Quality Assurance Program and other policies
  • Comply with Health and Safety Plan
  • Other duties as assigned by the Group Leader or Lab Director
