About The Position

Our client is seeking to add a NEW Environmental Lab Analyst to their team. We are seeking a detail-oriented and scientifically driven Environmental Lab Analyst to support laboratory testing and analysis efforts. This role is responsible for evaluating environmental samples and producing accurate data and reports to help identify and mitigate asbestos, mold, and lead hazards. This is a Direct Hire role.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, Geology, or a related field preferred.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow standardized procedures and protocols.
• Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively while managing time and priorities effectively.
• Strong commitment to safety and quality standards.

Nice To Haves

• Prior laboratory experience with asbestos, mold, or lead testing is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze environmental samples using approved laboratory methods and equipment, including: Polarized Light Microscopy (PLM) Phase Contrast Microscopy (PCM) Light Microscopy
• Receive, log, label, and properly store samples while maintaining strict chain-of-custody and handling protocols.
• Operate and maintain laboratory instruments such as microscopes, spectrometers, and chemical analyzers to ensure accurate testing.
• Document, interpret, and report test results in a clear and organized manner within an accredited lab environment.
• Evaluate data to determine the presence, type, and extent of asbestos, mold, and lead contamination.
• Perform routine calibration and maintenance of lab equipment in accordance with quality assurance standards.
• Monitor inventory levels for lab supplies and recommend restocking as needed.
• Follow all safety procedures and regulatory guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with environmental testing practices.
